Natures Desktop - About Us / Me

All photo wallpapers on Natures Desktop are taken by me - Dave Massey, I currently live in Nottingham in the center of the UK. The site was started in Spring 2006 when I got my first proper digital SLR camera, a Canon 20D. The lens used are a canon 17-55 image stabilized - mainly for landscapes, a 70-200mm canon L series zoom for Animals / Birds and a 60mm Macro for close up / macro photos.

Update 2009 - new Camera. A Canon 5D mk2 - 21 mega pixel with 24 - 105 and 17 - 40 canon L series lenses.

I try to add new photos on a regular basis as i visit new places and areas. Places visited so far include - Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cumbria and Yorkshire.

In Summer 2007 I started adding hi res wide screen wallpapers (1920x1200 px) for the growing number of people with large computer monitors.

We visitors purchase a license to use an image commercially, a copy of the Paypal invoice / license is kept offline as record of the transaction and proof of the type of license purchased. This invoice contains the buyers name and email address. This information is not shared with any 3rd parties or used in anyway other than that stated above.
